A man and a woman traveling in a Cadillac were arrested after a traffic stop at a shopping plaza in The Villages.
James Allen Kennedy, 37, of Lady Lake, was driving the 2019 Cadillac which had its high beams on at about 11 p.m. Wednesday while traveling near La Plaza Grande, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
During a traffic stop, Kennedy was asked for his driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance. However, he could not produce any of the documents. A computer check revealed that Kennedy’s license was suspended and he had been convicted of driving while license suspended in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021.
A K-9 unit arrived on the scene and the dog alerted on the Cadillac, signaling the likely presence of drugs…
