During a change of plea hearing on April 17, Amber Nolle Sacks pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter and DUI with damage to property or person. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years of probation.
Under the plea agreement between the state and Sacks, the defendant must follow several conditions. Her driver’s license is permanently revoked, and while on probation she is prohibited from consuming alcohol, using illegal drugs or possessing substances without a prescription. She will also be subject to random drug and alcohol testing at her own expense.
