MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Office of the County Engineer, in coordination with its contractor, will continue intersection improvement work at SW 49th Ave. Rd. and SW 66th St. beginning Thursday, April 23, 2026. The work is being performed in 2 phases. The current Phase 1 will end Thursday, April 23, 2026. Phase 2 will begin on the afternoon of Thursday, April 23, 2026. Phase 2 is expected to be completed within 60 days, weather permitting.
Phase 2 allows for two-way traffic flow on all four lanes of the newly constructed segment of SW 49th Ave./SW 40th Ave. between SW 66th St. and SW 43rd St. Rd.
