The Marion County Sheriff’s Office helicopter assisted in the arrest of a Summerfield man accused of holding a pregnant woman at gunpoint.
A five-and-a-half-months pregnant woman was walking toward her kitchen when she saw 32-year-old Carlos Montalvo pointing a black handgun at her from behind the bar of her Marion County home at 1:20 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
He wore all black, including sunglasses and a sweatshirt with the hood up, and he did not say anything to her. He had recently been in custody at the Marion County Jail for violating an injunction of protection, during which the woman watched his with dog, Kodak. She was scared until someone knocked at the front door, and Montalvo left with the dog, the report said.
Another resident in the home was also walking toward the kitchen at this time and saw Montalvo. He pointed the gun at her, too, without saying anything. Once he walked out, she saw a newer black Kia Sedan back into the driveway. Another woman, later identified as the woman protected by the injunction, got into the vehicle before it drove away, the report said…
