Nebraska’s Oklahoma pipeline may offer ideal post-WCWS reload Transfer Portal pickup

The Nebraska softball team obviously has the Women’s College World Series to worry about this week. However, whenever their run in the postseason eventually ends, Rhonda Revelle and Co. can’t rest on their laurels. In the go-go world of college sports, they’ll need to start reloading immediately. Tia Milloy could be one very nice way to kick off that reload session.

Should the Huskers go after Milloy, who announced on Monday that she would enter the Transfer Portal when it opens? Milloy has played the last few years for the Oklahoma Sooners, and the Cornhuskers have certainly had a very good track record of bringing someone from OU to Lincoln.

Milloy made the announcement one day after her Sooners saw their season end. She’ll now get a jump-start on looking for her next team as Nebraska advances to the Women’s College World Series, which has been a second home for Oklahoma over the last decade. While it’s far too early to know whether Revelle and NU are interested in Milloy and whether that interest is mutual, the success of other former Sooners in Lincoln should at least hint at an attempt to keep the pipeline open…
