The Oregon Ducks are in the middle of the first major recruiting weekend of the Spring as the first group of official visits is underway in Eugene. As the Ducks look to sign another top 5 recruiting class, the Oregon Ducks have plenty of work to do to reach that point, as they currently hold the Nation’s 9th ranked class. Part of the official visit season isn’t just about which recruits are on campus, but where top targets are visiting.
While Oregon has a talented group on campus this weekend, not every target is in Eugene for the weekend’s events. Among the targets that’s on the road elsewhere is running back recruit Jakoby Dixon.
Jakoby Dixon picking Oklahoma isn’t a setback for the Oregon Ducks
On Sunday, running back recruit Jakoby Dixon announced that he was committing to Oklahoma, picking the Sooners over Oregon, Texas, and Texas A&M.

According to Rivals’ Industry Recruiting Rankings, Jakoby Dixon is the 556th ranked player in the country, the 44th ranked running back in the class, and the 77th ranked player out of Texas. Oklahoma just recently entered Dixon’s recruitment, and quickly won out, but in the end Dan Lanning and the Ducks will be more than fine…
