One person dead after NW OKC house fire

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — An early morning house fire engulfed a home in northwest Oklahoma City. It’s now a joint investigation with the Oklahoma City Police and Fire to learn more about the blaze.

The call came in around 1 a.m. Thursday and originally was to check the smoke, but when fire crews got closer, the situation turned intense as they spotted the glow of flames from several blocks away.

“They went ahead and requested a fire alarm response, and we sent additional companies to assist,” said Andrew McCann, a Battalion Chief at the Oklahoma City Fire Department…
