Fatal overdose spurs charges against Oklahoma man accused of distributing synthetic opioid

MUSTANG, Okla. (KOKH) — A 24-year-old man from Mustang has been federally charged after prosecutors say he distributed a synthetic opioid that led to someone’s death.

A federal indictment unsealed in Oklahoma charges Shane Michael Burgess, 24, with distributing a controlled substance analogue resulting in death.
