First responders work I-35 fiery semi crash in NE Oklahoma City, one northbound lane closed

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say a crash involving three vehicles prompted a large emergency response and shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 35 in northeast Oklahoma City on Thursday evening.

The crash happened on northbound I-35 near Northeast 36th Street and involved a Jeep Wrangler, a semi truck and a tractor pulling a brush hog used to mow grass along the interstate.

According to authorities, the tractor appears to have entered the roadway at some point and was struck by the northbound semi. The impact caused the tractor to turn and led the semi to veer into the Northeast 36th Street bridge over I-35 before catching fire…
