OKC First keeps church after massive court battle against OK Nazarene

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma City First breathed a sigh of relief this week after a judge decided they get to keep their church and property.

The Oklahoma District Church of the Nazarene took the congregation to court last year after OKC First had voted to break-up with the denomination.

First reported by The Oklahoman, the congregation voted, and 98% decided it was time to part ways. The reason for that disaffiliation, according to members, was that the denomination was pressuring them to be less welcoming to members of the LGBTQ+ community…
