Edmond mother warns of Kratom dangers after son’s death as state reports rise in fatal overdoses
EDMOND, Okla. – An Edmond mother is sharing her family’s tragedy in hopes of warning others about the dangers of kratom, a plant-based herbal supplement that she believes contributed to her son’s death.
Her warning comes as the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics reports an increase in fatal overdoses linked to kratom products, which some law enforcement officials have referred to as “gas station heroin.”
