Wildfires ravage 3,300 acres in Burnt Canyon

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — For days, Oklahoma has been feeling the heat as a string of wildfires has ravaged over 3,300 acres in the Burnt Canyon.

On Sunday, the flames were still burning brightly with ongoing dry conditions and strong winds.

Footage sent in to News 4 showing flames ripping through the dry grass, sending thick smoke clouds into the air, some even turning into a “smokenado” as captured by the Putnam Volunteer Fire Department.

What once was rolling grasslands is now scorched, giving us an idea of how much the flames have already destroyed and just how quickly they’re moving…
