OKLAHOMA CITY – One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning along Interstate 35 in southeast Oklahoma City, according to police.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was walking across the interstate’s northbound lanes when they were struck shortly before 1:30 a.m. near Southeast 44th Street.
OHP says the driver of the vehicle told troopers they saw the pedestrian running across the highway but were unable to avoid hitting them. OHP says the driver stopped to check on the person who was struck but later left the scene before troopers located them…
