Lake Hefner slowly rises as Oklahoma City pulls water from Canton Lake
OKLAHOMA CITY – Lake Hefner is slowly rising as Oklahoma City continues moving water from Canton Lake amid a statewide drought, though people visiting the lake say the change is difficult to see.
The city began releasing water from Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma last Thursday in an effort to replenish Lake Hefner, one of the city’s drinking water sources.
