Edmond neighbors frustrated over months-long water leaks

EDMOND, Okla. ( KFOR ) — Water is leaking down multiple streets in one Edmond neighborhood, with algae now growing and bugs flying around. Neighbors said it’s been going on for months and they just want it fixed.

“We’ve just been dealing with water bubbling out of the ground for the last several weeks,” said Paige Conner who’s concerned.

“It’s been throughout the whole neighborhood,” said Carlotta Malony, who’s a neighbor in the area.

Neighbors are frustrated and starting to worry it could get worse.

“Our mom came out to check the mail directly in front of the mailboxes… Just a river of water that has algae growing because it’s been there so long and she almost slipped and fell,” said Conner.

Carlotta Malony said her neighbor has already called the city for help.

“They said if it wasn’t gushing, that it wasn’t a priority right now. It wasn’t on our side where we’re paying for the water, it’s on the city side. So we’re not being billed for all this extra water that’s going around,” said Malony.
