EDMOND, OKLA. (KOKH) — The City of Edmond recently announced an intersection improvement project beginning May 4th, to improve traffic flow and safety as a new elementary school is set to open.
Work on the intersection of Covell Road and Air Depot Boulevard will result in intermittent lane closures during the process.
Road crews will widen Air Depot south of the intersection on the west side to add a third lane, as well as rebuilding and widening Covell Road east of the intersection to have three lanes. When the work is completed, the intersection will have one through lane each direction and a dedicated left turn lane.
