Newcastle police search for armed suspects in marijuana grow burglary following crash

NEWCASTLE, Okla. (KFOR) — Police in Newcastle are currently searching for potentially armed suspects tied to a Grady County marijuana grow burglary Thursday morning.

Newcastle Police Chief Toby Garver says officers started assisting Blanchard Police with the search for a suspect vehicle around 3 a.m. Thursday after reports of the burglary. Garver says Blanchard officers found the vehicle and started a chase before they crashed out in the 1300 block of South Dickerson Street in Newcastle.

Garver says authorities started looking for the suspects after they jumped out of the car and took off. At the time, authorities say the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Residents in the area are urged to remain cautious, stay indoors if possible and report any suspicious activity…
