Omaha Man Injured After Rollover on Railroad Tracks

LAURENS, Iowa — A man from Omaha, Nebraska, was injured after a high-speed pursuit involving the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office ended in a single-vehicle rollover in Laurens on Monday, May 18, 2026.

According to the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office, a sheriff’s deputy encountered Jonathan Edward Meier, 43, of Omaha, at about 11:04 a.m. at 49480 140th Avenue, a rural Laurens farm residence.
