Nebraska Game and Parks officer says suspect pointed gun at him; 19-year-old released on $1K bond

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A Nebraska Game and Parks conservation officer says he thought he was going to be shot. That account is in his sworn affidavit about an incident involving a reckless driver who allegedly pulled out a handgun near Two Rivers State Park.

The incident

On Sunday, May 31, as families were at Two Rivers State Park, a conservation officer says a reckless motorcyclist passed him. The suspect, riding in front of the marked Game and Parks vehicle, allegedly pulled a black handgun and pointed it back as if he was going to shoot the officer, who then initiated a pursuit.

The suspect could not stop at a T-intersection at 264th and F Street in western Douglas County, continued through and struck a guardrail.

19-year-old Wyatt Bolita ran from the scene. An Omaha Police helicopter located him in a field where deputies made the arrest. Bolita had tossed the handgun along the way…
