Omaha man set for court after allegedly attacking grandmother, calling 911

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An Omaha man who police say called 911 to report he attacked his own grandmother with a knife last Thursday appeared in court Monday.

Nyak Nyak, 24, was booked into Douglas County Corrections for 1st-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

On Monday, he was ordered to be held on $250,000 bond and was assigned a public defender.

The incident happened at an apartment near 30th and Spencer streets. Police said Nyak told dispatchers he had smoked marijuana and taken other drugs, and couldn’t remember his name…
