In a news release, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says this past March, DCSO investigators were contacted by staff at the Douglas County Department of Corrections who suspected a DCDC staff member of permitting inmates to have unauthorized communications with individuals outside of the correctional facility.
This staff member was identified as Heather Robinson, the General Education Development program teacher.
The Sheriff says the investigation determined that Robinson allowed an inmate, age 21, who was a part of the GED program within the jail, to access her cell phone during one- on- one instruction…
