The Diamond Heels’ are heading to the national championship series after defeating West Virginia on Wednesday afternoon in Omaha.
North Carolina’s offense absolutely erupted, and Owen Hull played a major role in that. The junior center fielder finished the afternoon with four hits in five at-bats, falling just a home run shy of the cycle. Three of his four hits went for extra bases, including a triple, and his three runs scored and two RBIs helped UNC put together its largest College World Series single-game scoring output.
Shortly after the game, Hull spoke to the ESPN broadcast team, and as you could expect, the Tar Heels’ center fielder is extremely confident heading into Saturday’s championship series.
