OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A disabled Omaha man is shocked to learn that a federally funded program he relied on at home has been cut — and he found out because his lawn stopped being mowed.
Tony Cato was hit by an uninsured drunk driver 20 years ago and receives Medicaid, which is federally funded and managed by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. As part of his care, the program covered lawn mowing and snow removal.
