OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A proposal to build a new hotel at 10th and Harney streets has been denied TIF funding and rejected by the Omaha Planning Board, sending the request to city council for a final decision.
Drury Development Corporation submitted the proposal to the planning board in May. The board determined the project did not fit with the city’s downtown hotel incentive policy.
Barriers are currently in place around the greenspace at 10th and Harney. Jeremy Crawford, a contractor with Drury Development, confirmed on site that the construction is for the proposed Drury hotel.
