September is National Recovery Month, and a Lincoln substance-use treatment provider is encouraging Nebraskans to take a closer look at the resources available to people struggling with addiction.
Lisa Annable, executive director of North Point Nebraska, which provides services in Lincoln and Omaha, says some people may not realize their health insurance includes coverage for substance-use treatment. “Behavioral health needs like substance use treatment are oftentimes covered in all commercial insurance policies, just like if you were seeking treatment like orthopedic treatment or cancer treatment or anything like that,” Annable said.
