New affordable housing project adds 92 units to South Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An affordable housing project is adding more than 90 units to a south Omaha neighborhood, with the first phase set to open in early May.

The new 92-unit apartment complex at Southside Terrace replaces aging housing stock built for soldiers returning from World War II. The original 359 units are now boarded up, with only 24 residents remaining in the old buildings.
