OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A significant weather system is moving into the Omaha area this weekend, bringing rain and thunderstorms that could impact your plans from Saturday afternoon through Monday morning.
What to expect Saturday
Clouds will increase throughout Saturday morning and afternoon. Rain and thunderstorm chances climb after 3 p.m., with storm chances increasing into the evening. The main concern: isolated strong storms are possible, especially south of Omaha, with damaging wind and large hail the primary threats. Most of us would just see general spring storms. Temperatures will reach 72 degrees with southeast winds gusting to 20 mph.
If you’re heading out for Saturday afternoon activities, keep an eye on the sky. Have an umbrella handy and stay weather aware. We’ll be tracking storm development closely and will update you if any warnings are issued.
