Omaha crews working on traffic signals at Epply Airfield through the weekend

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Those arriving in Omaha for Berkshire Hathaway weekend on Friday will have a little more construction to deal with near the airport.

Omaha Public Works issued updates on several traffic construction projects that were slated to get underway Friday morning, including work at the Eppley Airfield exit on Abbott Drive. Crews will be working on signals there, causing various lane restrictions for the next two days.

North Omaha construction

Three construcution projects will also get under way Friday morning, impacting traffic in North Omaha for the next two weeks:

  1. Street-panel work on the curbside lane along eastbound Arthur C Storz Expressway will restrict traffic to one lane between 30th and 16th streets.
  1. Sidewalk and curb replacement on Florence Boulevard between Burt and Cuming streets will move northbound traffic into the center lane.
  1. Eastbound Cuming Street will also be restricted to one lane between 18th and 20th streets, also for sidewalk and curb replacement.

Other projects

A short stretch of Spaulding Street in northwest Omaha closed for utility work on Friday morning. The private project will keep a small section off 156th Street closed for a week.
