University of Nebraska, others report major hack to Canvas systems

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The University of Nebraska Systems reported Thursday that a major hack has interrupted access to Canvas, the school’s learning management system, and is currently preventing some users from accessing it.

According to Troy Fedderson, University of Nebraska-Lincoln senior director of strategic communication, Canvas users around the world, including all four NU campuses, experienced interruptions to access on May 7. Canvas remains unavailable across the University of Nebraska system.
