Things to do: Activities and events in the Omaha metro, May 22-25

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Here’s a list of activities and events coming up in the Omaha metro on Memorial Day weekend.

Memorial Day weekend celebrations are set at Memorial Park in Omaha. There will be live entertainment and food vendors starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday. A 400-drone show and an unfurling of the world’s largest American flag are scheduled for 9 p.m. On Monday, free pancakes and music start at 8 a.m., followed by skydivers at 9:45 a.m. and a ceremony at 10 a.m. The events are free, open to all ages, and coincide with America’s 250th birthday.

Also in celebration of Memorial Day at Memorial Park on Friday is a kids market from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Loess Hills Harley-Davidson’s party runs Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Pacific Junction, Iowa. Dreamland Lounge holds a social event Sunday from 4-9 p.m. Monday brings ceremonies at Forest Lawn Cemetery and Peterson Park at 10 a.m. and Prospect Hill Cemetery at 10:45 a.m., a patriotic sensory bin activity at The Learning Express at 11 a.m., and festivities at The Max from 2-8 p.m…
