WATCH: Man leads Florida deputies on ‘dangerous multi-mile’ chase, uses bystander as shield, deputies say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (WFLA) — A man led deputies on a “dangerous multi-mile” vehicle pursuit through Kissimmee before he ran on foot, using a bystander as a shield, according to authorities.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said the incident began on May 26, when deputies identified Michael Nathaniel Deregla as having an active warrant. A deputy attempted a traffic stop, but Deregla fled.

OCSO released video of Deregla weaving through traffic and driving the wrong way on a busy road.

Deregla “drove aggressively, violated traffic laws and traveled against traffic, posing a serious risk to motorists and pedestrians,” OCSO said…
