Fentanyl, firearms, and violent crime among cases in latest APD report

The Apopka Police Department responded to 1,668 calls for service, investigated 27 traffic crashes, and issued 65 citations during the reporting period of May 31 through June 6, according to the department’s weekly arrest report.

Officers made 24 arrests during the week, including several felony cases involving violent offenses, weapons charges, narcotics possession, and fleeing law enforcement.

Among the most serious cases was the arrest of a 37-year-old Apopka woman on May 31, who was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon following an incident on Redtail Hawk Drive. Another arrest involved a 55-year-old Apopka woman charged with aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony and aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability stemming from an incident on Lexington Parkway…
