CHRISTMAS, Fla. — A Florida Department of Transportation plan to widen part of State Road 50 in east Orange County is moving forward, but some Christmas residents are questioning why a segment coming closer to their community will have to wait.
FDOT plans to widen State Road 50, also known as Colonial Drive, from Avalon Park Road to Chuluota Road. Construction on that portion is scheduled to begin at the end of next year.
