SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – In an unusual local court case, a judge on Monday reaffirmed an earlier ruling that a woman who died before sentencing was guilty of the crime. U.S. law generally upholds sentencing cases that are on appeal, but Shona Wallace was convicted of DUI manslaughter in March and died April 13 before she was sentenced.
