Orlando International Airport is about to smell a lot more like slow-smoked brisket. 4 Rivers Smokehouse is lining up an outpost inside MCO, bringing its Central Florida barbecue staples like smoked brisket, burnt ends and the Messy Pig sandwich to hungry travelers hustling between gates. The move fits neatly into the airport’s broader push to spotlight homegrown restaurants instead of the same old national chains.
Plan filings point to a terminal spot
Fresh plan-review paperwork lists “4 Rivers Southern Smokehouse” at 9102 Jeff Fuqua Blvd, Suite 1521, a location inside the airport complex that signals a terminal build-out rather than an off-site storefront. The filing, recently reported by What Now, shows the project has advanced into the permit-review phase instead of sitting in the idea-only pile. That report also notes the chain’s Instagram was credited for a photo used in the story.
