An overnight blaze ripped through a house on Wild Oak Drive near Hempel Avenue in Windermere on Monday, chewing up roughly 70 percent of the home and pulling more than a dozen Orange County Fire Rescue units into action. Crews managed to get the upper hand on the fast-moving fire, and officials said only scattered hot spots remained. No injuries or medical transports were reported.
