Ocoee residents have been calling the Ocoee Police Department about being scammed through text messages, phone calls and emails.
According to OPD, scammers are acting as if they were from a bank or another agency and are asking victims to withdraw cash from their accounts to “keep it safe.”
They’re then instructing victims to place the moeny in an envelope and hand it to someone else…
