KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City Public Schools says teachers are getting a ‘historic’ 5% bump in base pay under a new contract agreement.
The deal comes after negotiations with the teacher’s union, the American Federation of Teachers.
The district said the deal is the highest pay increase in recent history for KCPS certified staff, which includes licensed professionals such as teachers, counselors, and librarians.
