KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Argentina held its final training session Friday evening at Sporting KC’s training center ahead of Saturday’s World Cup quarterfinal against Switzerland.
A semifinal berth is on the line when Lionel Messi and the defending World Cup champions face Switzerland at Kansas City Stadium.
Messi, the all-time World Cup scoring leader, has scored eight of Argentina’s 14 goals in the tournament. Switzerland has allowed just three goals across five matches and has not trailed once.
