A Kansas City Japanese izakaya restaurant and recent James Beard finalist is in the spotlight again, this time as one of the best new restaurants of the year, according to a national food magazine.
Bon Appétit Magazine included Anjin on its list of 19 restaurants across the country that represent what is most exciting about dining in the U.S.
“The best new restaurants in America aren’t playing it safe,” the magazine said in an Instagram post Monday. “They’re taking risks, challenging the playbook, betting on community and creativity, and giving us meals we can’t stop thinking or talking about.”
Since 1956, Bon Appétit has been a force in both the print and digital space for food, including original recipes and coverage on dining and drink trends, inside restaurants and storytelling about how food changes lives and communities, according to its website.
