KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Police departments across the Kansas City metro area say too many people are reporting potential crimes on social media instead of calling 911, and officers warn that by the time those messages are seen, suspects are long gone.
Officers with Kansas City Missouri Police Department and the Overland Park Police Department said they receive these kinds of messages every week.
