FHP: 16-year-old girl hit head-on by drunk driver who was fleeing hit-and-run

A 16-year-old girl was seriously injured while in a head-on collision with a driver feeling from a hit-and-run, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. July 21, a Jeep operated by a 30-year-old service member from Houston, Texas, rear-ended a KIA sedan operated by a 70-year-old Pensacola man on Perdido Key Drive, according to an FHP news release. The Jeep then fled from that crash and traveled southbound in the northbound lane on Perdido Key Bridge, colliding head-on with a Chevy sedan operated by a 16-year-old female from Pensacola.

The 30-year-old service member and the 16-year-old were transported to local hospitals for serious injuries sustained from the collision. The 70-year-old did not report any injuries…
