ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — Hundreds of Escambia County homeowners are on the clock to switch from septic to a new sewer system. That just expanded in the Beach Haven neighborhood.
According to the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority, now that sewer is available they must make the switch, abandoning any existing septic systems.
People who live in the Beach Haven neighborhood must comply with a state statute and county ordinance. But that’s not all, they will also have to foot the bill for a plumber to link their property to these new sewer service lines…
