The 23-year-old Pensacola woman accused of gunning down her boyfriend in their Madison Shores apartments had to be forcibly dragged from the courtroom Sept. 4 after screaming at an investigator who was testifying.
Despite two attorneys and court deputies pleading for Ashanti Brown — who is charged with the second-degree murder of her boyfriend, Ian Pleasant — to calm down, she continued screaming at Escambia County Sheriff’s Office investigator Ashley Wallace while she was attempting to testify during Brown’s pretrial detention hearing.
