PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The sidewalk replacement has been completed as part of a Pensacola project.
Clarke County deputies say argument over dog led to fatal attack
According to a City of Pensacola news release, progress continues to be made on the Florida Department of Transportation Garden Street Improvement Project.
Officials said driveway tie-ins and sidewalks were demolished and removed earlier in the year to allow crews to replace the water main, as well as stormwater drainage systems.
Once the sidewalk replacement is done, work will begin to shape and finish the concrete driveway tie-ins.
Officials said the following improvements are being made as part of the project:
- Signalization upgrades at various intersections
- Sidewalk, crosswalk, and mid-block crosswalk improvements, including ADA upgrades
- Stormwater management enhancements and reconstruction between B and I Streets
- ECUA water and sanitary sewer reconstruction efforts between B and I Streets
- New signage and pavement markings
