A four-court indoor pickleball club is set to open in about two weeks at 330 Gulf Breeze Parkway, next to the Gulf Breeze Neighborhood Walmart, bringing the fast-growing sport its first dedicated indoor home in the area. The club, run by the national Dill Dinkers franchise, will feature wider-than-standard court layouts, cushioned flooring built to absorb more impact than typical surfaces, and a coach who once ranked among the sport’s top 30 players.
Regional developers Beth Wilson and Amy Wallace are behind the Gulf Breeze location, according to WKRG, which reports the club will offer programming, coaching, leagues and recreational play for all skill levels. As reported by the Pensacola News Journal, the facility should open in about two weeks at 330 Gulf Breeze Parkway, and the planned courts will be lighted, separated by fences to keep matches confined, and offer individual court entry.
The four dedicated indoor courts will use what the news release describes as ProCushing surfaces, an enhanced playing surface designed to provide a high-quality court experience. Wilson said those surfaces absorb 15% more impact than standard playing surfaces, according to the same report. The building will also include an event space, a ball machine and a pro shop, the news journal notes, with the Dill Dinkers Gulf Breeze location page adding that the event space can accommodate up to 24 guests and that members can use the ball machine for free with a court rental.
Physical Therapy Partnership and Coaching Lineup
Dill Dinkers Gulf Breeze plans to partner with North Florida Bone and Joint, a subsidiary of the Andrews Institute, to provide physical therapy equipment for strength and agility workouts, Wilson said, per the news journal’s report. The club also plans to bring in a coach once ranked in the sport’s top 30, along with several additional lesson providers, Wilson said. She called the venue a top-notch facility, and the first in our area, per the same account…
