Cold Front Brings Cooler Drier Air to Florida With Sunday Lows in the 40s for Crestview, Tallahassee, and Pensacola This Weekend

FLORIDA — Fall is returning to Florida this weekend as a cold front brings cooler, drier, and less humid air to most of the state. The Panhandle will feel the biggest change, with Sunday morning lows dropping into the 40s and a few communities possibly reaching the first 30s of the season. South Florida will see only a small change, but residents there will still notice slightly more comfortable air along with plenty of sunshine.

Panhandle Sees Sunday Morning Lows in the 40s

The coldest air in Florida will settle across the Panhandle by Sunday morning. Crestview is expected to drop to around 41 degrees, making it one of the coolest spots in the state.

Tallahassee is forecast to reach about 47 degrees, while Pensacola dips to around 49 degrees. A few rural communities in the Panhandle could make a run at the 30s, marking the first time this season temperatures fall that low in parts of the state.

North Florida Cools Into the Low 50s

North Florida will also feel the cooler air, with both Jacksonville and Gainesville expected to fall to around 53 degrees on Sunday morning. The lower humidity will make the morning feel even crisper than the numbers suggest.

These temperatures mark a clear shift toward fall weather after weeks of warmer and more humid conditions. Residents heading out early Sunday should grab a light jacket or sweater.

Central Florida Wakes Up in the Low to Mid 60s

Central Florida will see a smaller drop, but the drier air will still be noticeable. Daytona Beach, Orlando, and Tampa are all expected to fall to around 63 degrees on Sunday morning…
