FHP steps up I-10 work zone patrols in Escambia County, targeting speeders

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — Earlier this week, the driver of a semi truck plowed through a construction zone in Escambia County. The driver was cited for careless driving after he destroyed an electric sign on Interstate 10.

Then, early Wednesday morning, a pickup truck struck and critically injured a road maintenance worker on Beulah Road.
