Pensacola motorcyclist killed in I-10 crash

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) – A 33-year-old Pensacola motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an SUV this afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the wreck happened near mile marker 10 on Interstate 10 in Escambia County. Troopers said a Hyundai Tucson driven by a 25-year-old Daphne man was westbound on I-10 next to the motorcycle about 5 p.m. when the Tucson veered out of its lane and hit the motorcycle. The motorcycle then left the road and crashed into a guard rail.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said.
