PENSACOLA, Fla. — There are updates in the effort to bring Amtrak service to Pensacola. Tuesday morning, Mayor D.C. Reeves shared the hold-ups in the process, including the need for federal support.
It’s been almost one year since rail service ramped up between New Orleans and Mobile. Reeves says he’s still on board with adding a stop here in Pensacola.
Reeves says the city is working hand-in-hand with the Southern Rail Commission. He says there’s just a few roadblocks to move past before service in Pensacola can become a reality…
